Surfing in Thailand

Hiya,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an area that is good for surfing.

We are heading home via Thailand in late October and wanted to go to Bangkok and either Koh Samui or Krabi.

We arent pro surfers but just wanted to relax somewher quiet with a small beachside bungalow and spend our days at the beach!

I dont know whether the surf is better down south or north or if there is much at all in Koh Samui or Krabi where we were planning on going to.

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks in advance

From similar questions and answers, there isn%26#39;t any good or even average surfing places in Thailand. On either coast.
