My husband and are are planning a trip to Thailand and will spend a few days in Bangkok at the end before heading home. We plan to ';splurge'; a bit since it%26#39;s the end of our trip and have been looking at the following as hotel options. If anyone has any thoughts on the following, I%26#39;d love to hear them:
Adelphi Suites (6 Sukhumvit 8)
Key Bangkok Hotel (19-19/1-3 Sukhumvit soi 19)
Novotel Lotus (Sukhumvit 33)
S15 Sukhumvit (217 Sukhumvit 15)
Or if you have any suggestions on other, similar hotels in the $70-$100 range, please let me know.
Thanks.

Which hotel should we pick?
Which ever hotel you choose make sure it is close to a BTS station. This will give you the freedom to travel to the ';usual'; tourists spots without fighting the traffic and if you wish, you can always grab a taxi meter to go somewhere the BTS doesn%26#39;t. The BTS just gives you more options.
Good luck and have fun!

Which hotel should we pick?
Thanks...I%26#39;m pretty sure all of these are relatively close to the BTS...definitely a selling point for me.
Any other feedback?
The second choice has advantage of also being close to MRT (subway) Asoke station. The surrounding is also good. It has Robinson department store, food court, and supermarket and many restaurants in the area.
I only have been to the Novotel Lotus, but just the lobby and restaurants and wedding halls. Not bad location also. 50 meters walk from BTS station. close to a good supermarket as well. Oh! one more it is just the opposite a park next door the the gint department store -The Emporium.
Novotel seems to be the only chain hotel and that I know of.
How about Emporium Suites, right in the same building as the Emporium, which is connected to the BTS Station.
some misspelling.
I mean ';giant'; Department store-The Emporium.
I piced up the Majestic Grande near Nana on Soi 2 in Sukhumvit for $AUD97 a night. It gets good reviews and is close to Sky Train Station.
Hi
If you are planning a big %26#39;splurge%26#39; try the Shangri-la. It%26#39;s on the river and next to both the sky train and the river taxi. Fabulous hotel and has 2 lovely pools.
Have a good holiday.
Yah...that%26#39;s a bit more of a ';splurge'; than what our budget allows.
Thanks.
Of the ones you suggest I would look at Adelphi suites.
Tho the suggestion of Majestic Grande is also a good suggestion almost halfway between Nana and Pleonchit.
Soi 33 is close to Phrom Phong BTS station with good bars on Sukhumvit tho there are up market night time bars further into the Soi.
Personally I would staay at the Majestic. Tho a little further from a BTS station they do provide a free tuk tuk service to the end of the Soi.
