Weather in August?

Hi, I%26#39;m considering different honeymoon destinations and thinking either Krabi or Phuket would be lovely.

I understand that the rainfall is a bit higher throughout August but is it a completely %26#39;NO GO%26#39; area? We would like to have some nice sunshine to sunbathe, go swimming and snorkelling etc. but don%26#39;t mind the odd tropical shower once a day. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Weather in August?

August is not the worst month and you get some good sunbathing time. It%26#39;s also a little cheaper because it%26#39;s the low season. It%26#39;s not the best time for snorkelling because of the monsoon season which churns the sea up a little, especially in the afternoon. If you are happy just relaxing and sitting on the beach then August should be fine; if it rains, just jump into one of the massage huts on the beach and relax even more!!!

Weather in August?

Hi Leamarie

Just to tell you that I am heading to Pattaya on honeymoon (first 2 weeks in August) and had the same fears about the weather/rain storms etc. However - I have been assured that the weather should be fine - some heavy showers (at nite I hope) but will be hot - 30 degrees and guaranteed to get a tan!

I suppose there is a chance that it could rain a lot but it isn%26#39;t the rainiest month. Hope we both get super weather - couldn%26#39;t be as bad as UK weather . . .!

Enjoy your honeymoon.
