Need good travel agency to help with Thailand package!

Hi everyone!

I am in a bit of a bind and am trying to plan a trip for 3 to Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket) next month (May 08). I have never been to Thailand, and would need help in getting a packaged deal. I%26#39;ve never done the package thing, I%26#39;ve always booked flights, hotels, tours, etc separately and seemed to do ok.

But I am sort of in a time constraint, and would like to know if anyone can recommend a good travel agancy/site that does Thailand packages at a reasonable price.

Please help. I dont want to lose this opportunity to go to Thailand.

Thanks!!

I assume you%26#39;re looking for companies that service from the US?

Another alternative is to organise your own flights and accomodation for Bangkok, then go to Khao Sahn Road (backpacker area) to one of the myriad of hole-in-the-wall travel agencies there and book a tour to Chiang Mai from Bangkok and another from Bangkok to Phuket. There are so many that you%26#39;ll certainly get what you want within hours of when you want to go or ahead of time if that suits you better.

To be honest, Thailand is probably the easiest of the Sth Asian countries to organise your own thing ahead of time, or when you arrive.

I understand the time contraint thing and wanting to make sure you don%26#39;t miss out on seeing something, but Thailand is very easy to do on your own.

Either way you%26#39;ll have a ball!

Good luck.

I go along with the previous poster, but would hesitate to recommend khao san road travel agents if you are new to Thailand.

May I suggest that you book your International flights with your prefered carrier. Get that out of the way.

Then find a hotel for one or two nights (however many you like, to get over jet lag) in Bangkok, in the Sukhumvit, Silom or Riverside locations, according to your budget. (We can help with that too if you give your budget).

Internal flights and accomodation can be booked, at short notice, at any of a myriad of reputable Travel Agents in Bangkok.(search for Travel Agents in this forum for recommendations.)

I think once you have locked in your International Flights, the rest will fall into place - and do note that you can come in to Thailand at one point eg Bangkok, and leave by another eg Phuket, so there is no need to back track.

TA is a great resource and will get you sorted in no time at all!

You can purchase a Thailand discovery pass for $199 + tax ( $59 for additional legs ). Gives you 3 flights anywhere in Thailand. Just look up the Thai air website for all details. There is a direct flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket so you could fly Bangkok - Chaing Mai - Phuket - Bangkok. Just ring the Thai office and arrange everything over the phone, make sure you have you international tickets first. There are plenty of websites offering Thailand hotels so easy to book.
