Bangkok passport control

I have been told that if you fly Thai airways business or first class then you can use the Diplomat

counter at immigration. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Thanks

Bangkok passport control

Never used Thai but yes they do have a %26#39;Fast Track'; for their priority passengers.

I believe you are given a card whilst on board.

If you do travel and get the fast track pop back here and let us know.

Enjoy your trip

Bangkok passport control

Tnink it only applies to first class.

Hi Paul,

We flew business with Etihad last year and were fast tracked.

Flew biz with thai at Christmas, fast-tracked into departures at Brisbane, lined up with the hoards on arrival in bkk.

Then fast tracked into departures when leaving bkk, and of course joined the hoards again on arrival in BNE.

hope bangkok passport control wil be better than phuket was feb2007,it took nearly 2hrs to get through

Will let you all know later in the year.We flew business with Jetstar last year %26amp; there was no fast track with them. Im hopeing its true though with Thai.

Starclass with Jetstar isn%26#39;t business, in fact it isn%26#39;t a freckle on a decent Business class%26#39; butt.

You%26#39;ll enjoy biz with thai, but you%26#39;d enjoy first class more.

My recent experience is that Fast Track/Diplomatic is now only available for First Class passengers (and also APEC business card holders).

Get ready for some huge queues at BKK immigration, depending on when you arrive. I travel through quite frequently and have experienced queues as long as an hour. Be prepared for mainland Chinese tour groups who have yet to understand the concept of queuing rather than pushing their way to the front.

I have no idea why the airport built all those nice immigration desks, yet only about half of them seem to be staffed by Thai Immigration.

Just another quick note: if you depart from BKK business (or first of course) on Thai Airways, you will have access to a private immigration area just after the check-in counters. I have never waited at exit immigration behind more than five passengers using that service.
