Trek from Chiang Mai

I am looking for a 2 or 3 day trek from Chiang Mai.

Anybody have a good company to recommend based on their own experience?

Thanks!

Trek from Chiang Mai

Hi, I did a great, informative, well organised trip with Eagle House a few years ago and am planning on going with them again this year. Got in touch with them through an address found on google.Lots of options available

Hope that helps!

Trek from Chiang Mai

I did a one day trek with the Trekkingcollective and was sorry I didnt go for a two or three day trek. The company offers private treks, so it will be expencive if you are alone. If you are three or four it will be better. We were two, and although it was a bit expensive for us, we were so glad we chose the company. They will ask for your interest and tailor the trekking for you. They can go to areas not much visited by others. Even on our one day trek, we discovered this was not a well trodden area, and there had been weeks and months since other trekking tourists had been there. All their guides have long experience, they are reliable and knowledgeable. We went with Chang, a former hunter who had been doing this for 18 years. He showed us birds, plants etc. along the way, he knew the people in the villages we went to (Karen, Lihsu, Akha) and they were happy to see him, and very nice to us, meeting us with interest and friendliness. No one tried to sell us anything, it was a sharing of cultural experience. At the end of the day, Chang had become like a friend to us. He does longer treks as well as short ones, in different areas, and after 18 years, he has friends who will great him in every village. I am sure the other guides of the Trekkingcollective are good choices too. I can highly recommend the company.
