Patong beach to Phuket City - Local bus or Taxi

Off to Phuket next month and searching Trip Advisor for info but couldn%26#39;t find anything on my questions below.

Can anyone help please with the following:

Local bus from Patong Beach to Phuket City - how much, how long, how often do they run and where do you get on and off?

Tuk Tuk or Taxi from Patong to Phuket City - how much and how long?

theres a bus stop on the sea front near the holiday inn

the buses go every half hour to the town

when u want to get off just stand up and he will stop

it costs about 20bht each way

it operates from about 6-00 am till 9-00pm afa ican remember

no worries pammies, have a great time in phuket!

The bus (or lorry or van) can be hailed down anywhere on the route (this includes all of Patong Sea Front)

The cost has just gone up to 25bht per person each way.

The last bus leaves Phuket at 6pm, after that its a Tut tut or taxi for about 400-500bht total.

One word of warning when getting off the bus it Phuket, there are lots of kind people offering advice about where to catch bus back and where to go shopping, most are taxi/tut tut driver touting for business looking to take you to their shops (for stamps and fuel for themselves - not a problem as long as you are aware and agree a fair price and the number of thier shops to goto - we agreed 2/3 shops each time and a very small price, i.e 50-bht each for an afternoons shopping and also trip to Cape Panwa)
