Day tour in Phuket

We will be in Phuket for 14hours on a day tour off a cruise ship. We would really like to do an elephant ride and some cultural experiences. Can anyone suggest destination? Heard about Chalong Wat - and should this be a half or full day tour? Thks Bridy

Hi Bridy, You will have plenty of time to see Wat Chalong, theres some nice small markets there as well and do an elephant ride. Kok Chang is good. Maybe hire a driver and you will have time for some shopping as well!

Day tour in Phuket

Hi,

We also will be in Phuket for a day off a cruise ship in June. We then will be in Patong for 8 nights later in the month. We have a general idea what we want to achieve as far as tours go during that week. Wondering how to fill in our day off the cruise ship. Hoping to familiarise ourselves with Phuket before staying there. Thinking of hiring a driver for the day. Any suggestions for site seeing as a general overview.

Bridy - what cruise are you on and what date are you there? Like the sound of what you are doing. The elephant ride sounds good.

Lyn, That would be a good idea to hire a driver for the day and sample some of the things on offer in Phuket.

You could visit Kok Chang and do an elephant ride, get to meet Charley %26amp; Lum Yai. Probably spend a couple of hours there. Call into the viewpoint and have one of their yum pina coladas.

Have a look around Wat Chalong, very beautiful and theres some good priced little markets there, maybe drive out to Cape Panwa and have a late lunch, stop at the Kao Khad Tower for fantastic 360 degree views of Phuket. There is lots of things you could see and do over the day.
