Food and drink

Hello

It depends where you go to eat we ate in a lot of different places in Kata and Bangtao we were paying from 400baht for two with drinks up to 1800baht in a up market restaurant. You can eat even cheaper though if you want.

Food and drink

In Patong and generally around the Islaand

Thai Curry and main courses 90-120bht

Rice 15bht

Beer Chang 60-100bht (half this price in seven eleven)

Water 30bht (half this price in seven eleven)

These prices are for the restaurants that are not on the main drags - you can triple the prices to eat in most places on the sea front in patong for example, however, go one or two roads back from sea front, get better food, serivce and portion sizes for this sort of price

Typical meal for 2 inc starters, mains, rice and beer 拢10 UKP or 600bht!

Bargain and yummy!!

Prices are very reasonable for the meals that you can get tho wine isint cheap in Phuket.

With a couple of drinks and meal at most places should come in at 1000 to 1500 Baht I think or cheaper in some places.

Not a fussy eater so dont go to the fancy places someone else can recommend them....Ronnie.

Sorry, posted twice.

You can always check out the menu with prices 1st before you order.

A bowl of noodles would be 50 Baht at those smaller restaurants.

Cashewnut Chicken should be 100 Baht, rice is 15 Baht i think.

Seafood Fried Rice should be about 80 Baht or more, i forgot.

Simple white rice with pork chicken or beef should be 60 Baht or more.

Bottle of water i paid 15 Baht, beer depends, should be from 50 Baht onwards.

The prices i am quoating are from the small restaurants with few tables and no air cond.

Those restaurants with seafood on display at the front, you better check out the prices 1st and what they include. They can be really pricey.

Wine is very expensive on the Island.

Hi Barbara,

Have a look at my link below and look under Eating Out. I have photos and prices of some of the meals we had etc.
