We are intending to book a villa at the Ayara Hilltops next august but are wondering how is the environment ? The resort seems to be on the other side of the road. Is there any noise at all ? How far is the beach ? Is there other restaurants within walking distance ?

Hi Sandra,
The resort is across the road from Surin Beach - it%26#39;s about a 5 minute walk, or the hotel will drive you there and back by buggy. We walked there and back when we stayed there and didn%26#39;t find it a problem. The road is quite busy though so watch the traffic! Some of the reviewers on this web site have commented on traffic noise but we didn%26#39;t notice it at all during our stay. As for restaurants, there are about 20 beach shack restaurants right on the water front that are cheap and cheerful with great food. There are also some up market choices within walking distance too, but we didnt try these as we were happy with the beach options.
