Imperial Samui hotel - urgent - reply today asap please

Hi All

I am looking at staying at the Imperial Samui for my honeymoon in late July.

Before I book it today a few questions..

1. Is this location any good?

2. What is the surrounding area like? Are they any restaurant and places to eat nearby?

3. Will that beach we full of noisy partygoers? I want a nice, relaxing time on holiday...

Thanks in advance

Dawpal

Hi we stayed there and it was fantastic.I would recomend upgrading to a junior suiet. It was well worth it plus you have a bath on your balcony. The pools are clean and the beach is nice and clean and not too busy. The food at the hotel was a bit dearer. You can take a wonder up the beach and there is a couple of places to eat which are cheaper and the one with the fish outside was very good. Also out the front of the hotel to the right about 100 yards is a place called the gourmet terrece. The food here was great. You could get a starter ,main course and a couple of drinks each for about 800bht which is about 12 pound(just be carefull with the prawns ask for a price before you order).Mon at the hotels beach bar is great and does great cocktails. For more choices of places to eat head into Chaweng. The hotel has a bus every hour on the hour costs 50bht each. Its only 5 minutes away. There are lots of places to eat there. We had a great meal in a place that seemed to have a libray behind it not sure what it was called. To be honest we never had a bad meal and we dont eat fast food.Mind you all of them are ther if you want it.Fufther up the strip is the night life if you want it,Personally we preferred to head back to the hotel for a last couple at the beach bar.some of the places are very pretty but there are several parts that needs clearing up as they seem to dump crap about.(nowhere near the hotel though.I would recomend going to Ka toa for the day it was great fantastic snokkeling the only place we found that was any good there). Also hire a car for the day and drive to other parts of the island. You will find nicer unspoilt beaches. Also we loved the elephant treaking. They also used your camera%26#39;s for you to take the pictures. Also the beach is peacefull at night. They have a beach night once a week but it doesn%26#39;t end late. You can also pick up some good buys there.I%26#39;m really in to creams and browns and brought a lovely flower on a stick thing in a vase and a plug so we could use it at home.It has xmas lights in the flowers.Brought it on the off cance and it was my best buy it looks fab and it only cost 7 and ahalf pounds. And i%26#39;m quite fussy. We were there from 27th feb 08 for 2 weeks and we still want to be there. Also tell them it%26#39;s your honeymoon as you might get a couple of extra treats.Have a lovely time it;s a great place just watch out for the mossies
