Small, upscale, quiet resort romantic but child-friendly

We are looking for a small, upscale resort with a spa, gym, and beautiful, quiet beach in the Phuket area. Would be nice to have good restaurants/cafes within striking distance, though - good food is very important to us! Trisara and Aman out of our budget ... what about Twin Palms, Racha, Indigo Pearl - any suggestions? Seeking romantic escape but a place where our 1-year-old will be welcome. Many thanks!

hi racha is on a island you have to reach it by boat from the main land , lovely island and hotel looks great, we spent a day there last year ,we hired a long tail boat from rawai,it took quite a while to get there, maybe not a great choice if you want to get out and about to nice restaurants.

we have 4 year old and this is our 3 visit to phuket

first and second time we have stayed at the cape panwa hotel , it%26#39;s lovely ,

but this time staying at le meridien beach resort

as our little girl is getting a little older cape panwa has nothing much for children ,so changed hotels with more going on for her

Twinplams is a good choice...wonderful hotel...great beach club and lots of good restaurants right there in Surin. When we were there in Dec. there were quite a few toddlers.

Marina Phuket resort, their Jungle rooms/bungalows were exceptional! Very well located resort. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at Ayara Hilltops, at Surin Beach 2 weeks ago, would go back in a flash.I loved it , quiet spot, nice beach, good resturaunts in walking distance. The resort has a well equipt gym and nice spa(spa is a bit expensive but good quality) And as my partner would say I am VERY fussy and fairly hard to please.
