Can anyone recommend a good tailor in Phuket as I would like to have a suit made for my husband and an outfit for myself (son%26#39;s wedding). Also, I would really like to buy some jewellery while there but have been told that we should be very careful. So does anyone have some good suggestions.

I always use Magnifique Tailors in Patong. Rita the owner is so lovely and helpful, not the cheapest but excellent attention to detail. You can also take your own fabric over- have a look at their website

Try P%26amp;C Jewelers, they are on the corner of Soi Holiday Inn and the Beach Road in Patong Beach.

Thank you for that we are staying at the Banthai Resort so I gather it will be near where we are staying.

From the Banthai, turn left up Beach Road heading towards Holiday Inn and Patong Merlin Hotels.

Soi Holiday Inn is about the 3rd street from where you are staying, P%26amp;C Jewelers are on the corner with a Photo Lab place next door, if you miss it when you get to Ocean Plaza Shopping Centre you have gone too far , turn back.

Thank you Stewie. Do you know what the Banthai is like? We havent been to Phuket before so I didn%26#39;t really know where to stay as they all look great in the glossy mags.
