Hi, we will be staying at the JW Marriot for 3 nights. we need your opinion on our last 4 days in Phuket- which hotel offers more to do (location, markets, beach etc)- Duangjitt resort or Pacific Club Spa and resort?

Duangitt is in Patong and Pacific Club is in Karon. Patong is more full on (I love Patong) than Karon. Patong has loads of shopping options, restaurants, bars, discos etc. Karon is very nice but more laid back but still has some shopping options and plenty of restaurants. The beach at Patong is not that nice. Karon beach is lovely. Both beaches at that time of year can be pretty rough. If you haven%26#39;t already done so, take a look at the reviews for both hotels on this site. Good luck with your decision. Jen.

Thanks Jen, we booked at the Duangjitt Resort!! :)i cant wait. now i need to plan my days out during my stay. i plan on going through all the past posts on suggestions. Do you think Phi Phi island will be ok during that time?

you wouldnt happen to be from Cambria would you? i have a co-worker currently hear on a rotation who said i should of just booked an Aussie trip.

Hi Santoralin, the Duangjitt would have been my choice also between the 2....it looks great from the pics (both the hotel%26#39;s website and TA members%26#39; pics on this site). A trip to Phi Phi would be good. Simba Seatrips do a speedboat trip to Phi Phi. I haven%26#39;t actually gone with this company but they get great reviews on this site. If you type in ';Simba'; in the search function you%26#39;ll get all sorts of info. Another favourite with members from this forum is Phuket Sail Tours (Captain Mark), you could do a search on that too...also lots of info. Happy planning. Jen. PS.
