Days needed in Bangkok?

Hi all,

I am thinking of going for a short trip to Bangkok. Wonder how many days do I need to spend in Bangkok?

I want to visit their temples but prefer their local visit than tourist attraction. Any suggestion?

Any other must go place in Bangkok?

Thank you.

Days needed in Bangkok?

I%26#39;d say go for as long as you can!

There is lots to do in Bangkok, thats it%26#39;s almost impossible to run out of things to do.

But on average 5-6 days is a decent break. If you were thinking of less than thats OK, if more than even better.

Days needed in Bangkok?

I think you need 3 full days or 4 nights to see the minimum. This was enough on our first trip but we are heading off for our 4th today and still have things to do!

cheers

Freddy

My first time in Bangkok we stayed 3 nights and 4 days. I will be returning again this year and will arrive Friday morning and leave for Phuket Monday am .. so the same amount of time.

I wouldn%26#39;t suggest any more days that that.

I would suggest you to stay longer as there are many places to visit in Bangkok. You will not regret it.

Hi all,

I just wonder what are the must go or ear or shop places in Bangkok. I cannot plan anything more than 3 nights at the moment. Any suggestion of the itinerary of my Bangkok trip?

By the way, Bangkok has a lot of temples. Any good and unique ones?

Thank you

Maybe you can go to:

1. Chatuchak weekend market for various local products, clothes, accessories... etc.

2. Pratunam market for clothes and handbags

3. MBK shopping center

Heres a list as a start;

1. Take a cruise along the Chao Phraya River. The river is particularly atmospheric at dusk, when the light casts golden shadows across Wat Arun.

2. Visit the Grand Palace - Bangkok%26#39;s signature landmark. Majestic, unique and spectacular.

3. Sit inside Wat Pra Gaeo - Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also located inside the Grand Palace compound. Serene and contemplative.

4. Have a traditional Thai massage. At Wat Po, the original teaching centre, or for a more relaxing experience, try one of the luxurious spas that feature in almost every hotel. Go on, treat yourself.....

5. Visit any of the night markets. Suan Lum Night Bazaar has good selection of Thai crafts, souvenirs, clothes, and local food, all at very reasonable prices.

6. Stop and sample some delicious Thai food at a local restaurant or from a street seller. Try some Thai dessert - very sweet. A perfect antidote to fiery chilli.

7. Visit Chatuchak Weekend Market. Hundreds and hundreds of stalls selling everything from jeans to pets.

8. Check out the legendary nightlife scene. From the ubiquitous go-go bars to sophisticated clubs and jazz venues.

9. Take a day trip to Ayutthaya, the former 18th century capital of Thailand.

10. Of course, no trip would be complete without a visit to the famous floating market. Although now visited by many tourists, it%26#39;s still worth doing.
