Vodafone-Phuket-coverage? please help
It depends who they have roaming agreement with. DTAC and AIS have the best coverage, but there are a few %26#39;blind spots%26#39; around some mountains.
Vodafone-Phuket-coverage? please help
Have been heaps of times to phuket/patong and use vodaphone no problems at all
Hi
My husband and I went over in Feb and actually purchased a Thai sim card over there from a 7/11 store.
Much cheaper than an Aussie sim card and they can set it up for you.
I ended up spending about $25AU and we rang home everyday bar one as our kids did not come with us.
The coverage is fantastic, never has any issues.

thanks for everyones help
so can i just take my old unlocked mobile over there and they will set it up for me?
Yes definately.
It was so easy. And it comes with an instruction booklet.
If you do a search in the forum on sim cards you%26#39;ll get heaps of info on how to use them and also how to dial back home. You%26#39;ll just need to remember to use the prefix mentioned in your instruction book.
I ended up printing off this info and taking it with me. It was a huge help.
Goodluck
