Hotels at Koh Samui

Me and my boyfriend visited Koh Samui last year, and we loved it so much that this year we%26#39;re coming back! We stayed at Baan Samui Resort at Chaweng beach last time, which is an excellent hotel with great location, but we thought we%26#39;d try a different hotel this time.

We have read that the other beaches are not as lively as Chaweng. Is this the case? We don%26#39;t need the big party places, but a few good pubs and restaurants is absolutely necessary=)

We have also read that the quality of the beaches vary, and we would hate to find ourself located at a beach that did not match Chaweng. Last time we wandered a bit up the northern part of the beach and that part was not nearly as nice as the middle part of the beach where we stayed last time (muddy and dirty). Is this typical of the season? (As last time, we%26#39;re going in June)

Anyone who could recommend a decent hotel by the beach? Either at Chaweng or one of the other (nice) beaches. We%26#39;re looking to spend no more than 4000 bath per night, and I would love to stay in a bungalow!

Thanks!=)

Hotels at Koh Samui

Dear trso

Chaweng is the best beach on the island. If you have a look at www.sawadee.com you will get heaps of info on Samui and its beaches. You will also find heaps of hotels listed. Read their reviews and the ones on TA.

cheers
