Hi...am planning a trip to Koh Samui at the end of April / early May (2008) and will most likely be going alone. I like quite simple but good quality and unique hotels. Want some peace to chill out but like walking into town and being around lively places. Am considering Paradis Boutique in Chaweng and also Zazen and Bophut hotel and spa and Sala Samui. Any suggestions? Also, names of good spas (not too expensive) or yoga places? Thanks.

Last month we spent two weeks in Sala Samui, fantastic hotel and all the rave reviews are right. Great food reasonably priced and they provide a bus and private car service into any of the island hot spots, much safer that taxis if you are travelling alone.
There were some single travellers there even though it%26#39;s a couples type hotel.
Highly recommended and if you go pay the extra for pool villa if you can
