Similan Island accommodation

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of booking and paying for the accommodation on the Similan Islands.

Me and my girlfriend are due to arrive in Khao Lak at the end of this month. I have tried to use the national park website to pre book a bungalow which it fine but it will only let me pay by cash as the credit card facility does not appear to be working. It then only gives you two days to do so before you lose your reservation.

Being that we do not arrive from the UK for 3 weeks I am unable to do this and am worried we will miss out as it may be fully booked by the time we arrive.

Can anyone please advise if they know of any way around this problem?

Similan Island accommodation

Even local tour operators have this problem. When we were there a few weeks ago, Khao Lak Land Discovery for instance, if you wanted to stay over booked you on their day trip, then booked a bungalow for the nights you wanted then you returned on their day trip after your last night.
