Surin Boring???

Im heading to phuket for the first time. Was thinking about staying in karon or kata but it seems as though the better hotels are in surin. I would like a nice 4-5 star hotel but im afraid surin will be a bit too boring as it is much quiter there.

Any thoughts would be grealty appreciated

We are going to Phuket on the 4th April and staying at the Hilton in Karon Beach for 7 nights. Doing all the tourist things and shopping. Everything is only 5 minutes away. We also wanted to relax and do nothing so we are then going to the Sheraton in Bang Tao for 5 nights. It is suppose to be a beautiful beach with great food places right on the beach.

These are both 5 star hotels but got them for a great price, couldnt resist.

Surin Boring???

we stayed at surin 2 weeks ago and admittedly there wasnt a lot to do. We chose this area due to the resort but werent planning on hanging around all the time anyhow. Most of our time was taken up doing tours etc. I must say I liked surin after the hussle and bussle of patong, the beach area is nice and there are some great resturaunts. It was giid having the opportunity to relax for a few days It just depends what you are after and also to some degree what resort you are staying at. Patong is about a 15 minute taxi ride away.

I don%26#39;t think so. I loved swimming. So, Surin beach meets my demand. My friends reccomended me quiet and relaxing beach. I%26#39;ve been stayed at Benyada lodge at Surin beach for our 2 weeks holidays. Very nice, lovely and freindly people hotel.
