Affordable Bangkok Hotel

Hi all,

I%26#39;m looking for a reasonably priced hotel ($80-$120) in Bangkok. Would prefer Pratunam or Siam area near shopping and BTS. Will be there at the start of May with the wife and two kids, aged 2 and 5, (4 altogether). I%26#39;m literally overwhelmed with trying to find a nice 3 or 4 star hotel that is clean, affordable and with a decent pool. Please give me any help you can, I%26#39;m quickly running out of time to make affordable reservations.

I suggest going to some internet booking sites and narrowing your choices down to 3 or 4 based on location and your requirements. Then ask this group for opinions on those you have chosen, you might get a more prompt response.

If you get just a bit off the beaten track, but stay close to the BTS, you can get excellent value, especially in serviced apartments rather than classical hotel rooms.

For instance I have just stayed at the Abloom Serviced Apartments (just re-named: formerly Arasia Luecha Park), which is next to Sanam Pao BTS Station, only about 15 minutes from Siam. We had a beautiful big brand-new studio, stylishly furnished, A/C, DVD and stereo system, kitchen nook, lovely 25-metre pool, generous breakfast included for about $50. You could have a two-bedroom unit for about $100.

Hi there, we have stayed in the Marriot Mayfair Appartments and they are amazing, this year we are booked into %26#39;Pullman Bangkok King Power%26#39; sounds weird but it looks great and is quite cheap. It is on Here check it out.
