looking forward to my first trip to koh chang .has anyone stayed at baan rim nam,klong prao beach It looks a really nice place, any info on this or any other small hotels around klong prao beach %26amp; some info about the area would be great thks

My wife and I stayed at Baan Rim Nam in December 2007. If you are looking for a quiet unobtrusive place this may well suit. Ian and Nam are great hosts and were extremely helpful. We did cheat and hired a car from BKK and found this to be very handy for all the exploring around the Island.

I like Baan Rim Nam, but there again, being the owner, I%26#39;m biased. :-)

Not a lot in the way of small places to stay around Klong Prao beach, mainly resorts and a couple of large backpacker hut places. Just along the river from our place is an upmarket %26#39;boutique%26#39; guesthouse - Keereeta Lagoon. At the southern end of the beach is Blue Lagoon bungalows - nothing luxurious but a new AC bungalow is 1000 - 1200 baht/night and fan is 600 baht. About 150 metres from the beach on a small river estuary.
