Last month we spent two weeks in Samui and one thing we did learn, don%26#39;t trust the weather forecast. We would look in the Bangkok Post newspaper each morning and our hotel, Sala Samui had a 7 day forecast posted in reception and it showed rain and more rain. Out of our two weeks we had 4 days of rain and the rest of the time it was glorious sunshine.

I don%26#39;t know how they work out their weather forecast because after checking daily on a vast number of weather Internet sites they were all wrong as well, all forecast and rain on days that turned out to be hot and sunny. We were affected by a few storms but they were at night and the locals will tell you when they are on way.

You have to remember you are in a tropical area where there is always a chance of rain and boy can it rain

It%26#39;s been forecasting rain all week and apart from a 10 min downpour a few days ago it%26#39;s been glorious (I can%26#39;t be held responsible though if it rains all week when you get here ;-)))
