Are there english speaking tour guides available in BKK? I have seen these in other cities in the world. Where we can be shown around on a 1-to-1 basis and taken to the major tourist sites, klongs, wats, markets etc and ensure that we aren%26#39;t ripped off too much. I will be travelling with my partner and 12 year old son and first visit to SE Asia. If so any idea of how much this service would cost and where I could pre-book if necessary?
Tks..

Tour guides in Bangkok...
Hi Bizzsaltash
If you search Tong then everyone seems to be talking about her or her recommended guides. I think she speaks english and so do her guides (but someone who has used her should be able to confirm this).
Apart from that if you have arranged a airport pick no doubt they will tell you about the tours and so will the hotels (this may be a little more expensive).
Tour east is a travel company in Thailand that I have used before. Its the same operator that places like Kuoni sometimes use. If you google tour east bangkok/thailand you can see prices online and get an idea of tours you can book.
Regards Dr J
We just spent six days with Ratt, she%26#39;s great. Stayed at her new B%26amp;B three of those days, it%26#39;s very nice, especially at 1,200 THB. Her Thai breakfasts and fresh fruit were to die for.
Tong speaks excellent English as do all her guides. Highly recommended :-)
We used Tom (Tong%26#39;s Group) for tours--excellent.
We also hired Nok for the day to show us city--transport, etc to get a feel--not licensed guide, but she can shop, etc--more like a city assistant.
If you have time for spa--try Orchid Spa. Great services/great prices--online website.
I reccommend Tan (www.izthai.com)! She%26#39;s excellent: very nice, well organised and speaks English very good. She has great attitude to children, so if you visit BKK with kids, ask if she%26#39;s available!
Best regards, Bartek
Oat (oat747@yahoo.com) government licensed, very experienced, speak excellent English. Very friendly and knowledgable.
