Hi guys,
Wondering if renting a car is better or renting a motorcycle?
Heard from my friends, it is okey to ride around with motorcycle because it is really safe to ride around.
But to move around from one city to another, will it be a long journey?
I am staying in Patong area, to go to Phuket Town, is it far? From the google earth, I act measure it, it%26#39;s around 6km max... ;)
Moving Around with Car or Motorcycle?
Please reas this story before thinking about renting a motorcycle on Phuket:

and there are plenty of similar stories very often. The death rate in Thailand from motorcycle accidents is the highest in SE Asia, and accidents happen every day. Look at the scars on the legs of any Thai.
Car is safer but still risky for foreigner. If you want to hire a car, you must be very careful. Can try andamancars, very reliable.
Moving Around with Car or Motorcycle?
Oh man, change my mind instantly. Thanks, bro. Will consider tuk-tuk or renting car.
The one you recommended, do they have a website or something?
http://www.andamancars.com
Very reliable, I use them twice a year.
We were looking at renting a bike along Beach Rd in Patong and were quickly put off as you have to leave your passport with most of the dealers. We went the safer way and hired a car from Budget car rentals. This was more expensive at 1200baht /day but with full insurance and peace of mind this was the better option.
The amount of people that we saw who were injured through motorcycle accidents was enough to not ride.
If you do hire a bike please be careful.
